家事は英語でどう言えばいいでしょうか？
日常会話でよく使う簡単な言葉なのに、知らない人は多いのではないかと思います。
英語を真剣に勉強している人の中には、ネイティブでもめったに使わない難しい言葉を知っているのに「家事」のような簡単な言葉を知らない人がよくいます。
こうした簡単な言葉こそ最優先で覚えた方がいいですので、この機会に家事の英語と使い方を覚えておきましょう。
家事の英語は？
家事の英語はhouseworkやhousehold taskと言います。
houseworkは、家（house）と仕事（work）なので覚えやすいですね。
最近、子供が家事を手伝ってくれるんだ。
Recently, the kids have been helping with the housework.
それは助かるね
That must be really helpful.
昼から親戚が来るから、急いで家事を済ませないといけないわ。
My relatives are arriving around lunchtime.
So I have to get the housework finished quickly.
何か手伝おうか？

家事の中でも、料理を作るのは好きよ。
Among household tasks, I enjoy cooking the most.
私は家事するのは大嫌いだわ。
I really hate doing housework.
家事で忙しい
昨日は一日、家事で忙しかったわ。
I was busy doing housework all day yesterday.

※busy～ing＝～するのに忙しい
一人暮らしを始めて、家事が大変だということがわかったわ。

You should be grateful to your mother.
※grateful＝感謝する（形容詞）
家事を分担する
「家事を分担する」はdivide up houseworkと言います。
divide upの代わりにshare（共有する）でもかまいません。
私の夫は、ぜんぜん家事を手伝ってくれないよ。
My husband never helps with the housework.
私は夫と家事を分担しているわよ。
I divide up the housework with my husband.
※divide up＝分担する
家事や育児は女性の仕事と思っている男性は、まだたくさんいるね。
There are still many men who think that housework and child-rearing are the woman’s job.
私の夫は、家事も育児も手伝ってくれるけどね。
My husband helps with the housework and child-rearing.
※child-rearing＝子育て
父は、女が家事をして男が働くのが当たり前だと思っているわ。
My father thinks it is normal for women to do the housework and men to have jobs.
その考えは、もう古いよね。
That is such an old-fashioned way of thinking.
仕事と家事を両立する
「仕事と家事を両立する」は、以下の例文のように単にhaving a job and doing the housework（仕事と家事をする）のように表現できます。
また、keep a balance between work and family（仕事と家庭のバランスをとる）と表現することもできます。
家事と仕事の両立は、思った以上に難しいわね。
Having a job and doing the housework is more difficult than I thought.
旦那さんは、家事をしてくれないの？
Doesn’t your husband help with the housework?
疲れているように見えるけど、大丈夫？
You look tired. Are you okay?
実は、仕事と家事の両立に悩んでいるのです。
Actually, I am having trouble both working and doing the housework.
仕事と家庭を両立するのは難しいね。
It's difficult to keep a balance between work and family.
